projectOUTREACH®, a program of Destination ImagiNation, Inc., is collaborating with the SciFi Channel to develop a curriculum for the Visions for Tomorrow campaign. This collaboration brings together the 25 years of curriculum and program development expertise of Destination ImagiNation, inc. and the far reaching media ability of the SciFi channel. Together both organizations intend to engage students, parents, schools, business and communities in genuine local level service initiatives that collectively make the world a better place. The agenda for the 2007 curriculum is ENERGY!
Visions for Tomorrow www.VisionsforTomorrow.org is a multi-faceted campaign that fosters and supports the notion that individuals can have a significant and positive impact on the future. Through interstitial public service announcements, off-channel symposiums, an informational Web site, educational programs and advocacy-based public affairs efforts, Visions for Tomorrow will engage educators, students, cable operators, futurists, thought leaders and policymakers in a bold, new optimistic vision of tomorrow.
The projectOUTREACH curriculum for the Visions for Tomorrow Campaign is a coordinated set of online and printed activities that engage a large variety of audiences in creatively and cooperatively approaching the challenges related to our energy exploration, conservation, and consumption.
There are three unique strands to the curriculum that focus on the different action areas of energy.
Strand #1: What If?
The What if Strand focuses on the exploration of energy use in the past, present and future.
Strand #2: Committed to Conservation
The Committed to Conservation Strand focuses on energy conservation and how we might individually and collectively conserve and use energy more efficiently.
Strand #3: Energy Counts
The Energy Counts Strand is quite literally a series of quantitative activities that focus participants on the individual and collective consumption of energy.

The Energy Educated Team Challenge is the final component of the Vision's for Tomorrow Curriculum. The Challenge requires a team to come together to formulate a solution that is both practical and effective in serving the community.
Though projectOUTREACH activities and challenges can be done by any age group, the activities found in the Visions for Tomorrow curriculum, all identify a targeted audience that will most benefit from completing it as directed.
